Pickleball is a game that requires cooperation and courtesy. A sense of fair play by giving the opponent the benefit of any doubt is essential in maintaining the game’s underlying principles of fun and competition.
Up to team whose side the ball bounces on to call in or out. Please give an audible or visual signal after the ball lands. If any part of the ball lands on the line, it is in.
Balls may enter your court during play. For everyone’s safety, please pause your point if this happens and reserve.
Teams must serve and win the rally to score a point. Round Robin games will be first to 11 points. Time limits per game may be used in the future.
The ball must clearly be no higher than the server’s waist when the paddle contacts the ball. The highest point of the paddle head must clearly not be above the highest part of the server’s wrist joint when the paddle contacts the ball. The server’s paddle must be moving in a clear upward arc when the paddle contacts the ball.
Follow the USA Pickleball Rulebook for all other rules and more details.
The first paddles fly at 10am. Whoever’s left standing wears the Courthouse Crown — and gets bragging rights until next year.
